Woorijib was established as part of a village cultural experience program, through which foreigners can learn the history and culture of Bukchon Hanok Village, and experience the beauty of hanoks.

The overall layout is an open square form. The Sarangchae and Byeolchae are joined together, while the Anchae is located several steps above the ground. The Byeolchae sits right inside the main gate, and has a single room. It is the only house in the village that has preserved its traditional furnace and floor heating system. The hanok also has a well-preserved traditional garden.

The participants will enjoy the unique experience staying at one of Hanoks, Korea traditional houses in Seoul. The App center and kozaza, a home sharing service focused on Seoul, have worked together to bring the special places to stay to participants.
You can feel the genuine Korean tradition and culture staying in one of Hanoks located at Bukchon Hanok Village.
Surrounded by Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine, Bukchon Hanok Village is home to hundreds of traditional houses called ‘hanok’ that date back to the Joseon Dynasty. Bukchon is located pretty close to DDP where the Global Hackathon will be held.

Bukchonmaru Hanokstay

Bukchon Maru Hanok Guesthouse is located in the heart of the Bukchon Hanok residential area in Seoul. Bukchon (meaning North Village in Korean) has the highest concentration of Hanoks, the traditional tiled-roof Korean buildings.  They are a family run guest house, having owned this property for over 30 years.
Due to its proximity to the local palaces, Bukchon has been home to high government officials and prestigious families of the late Chosen Dynasty, who needed to commute to the local palaces often. Bukchon Hanok Guesthouse

Bukchon Guesthouse is designed for travelers who want to have an experience of Korean Traditional-style house. Bukchon is located in the center of the Seoul City. Staying at Bukchon Guesthouse, you will experience homely at atmosphere.
When you enter through the main gate, you will find a small yard and the guest units, which are situated in a square around the yard. There is a narrow wooden hallway in front of the rooms, so one can easily move between the rooms. The traditional doors are covered with hanji, or Korean paper, and the nature-friendly interior of the rooms features red clay walls and heated floors. Hanok Guesthouse 201

Guest House 201 is located in Bukchon Hanok Village in the Gahoe-dong neighborhood of Jongno-gu, which was once the center of ancient Seoul. This traditional hanok (Korean-style house) sits close to the starting point of the path along the Eight Scenic Views of the village, and serves the various needs of its visitors, providing them with assistance with travel, corporate workshops and seminars. Irang Hanokstay

Irang Guesthouse is a newly-renovated, Korean traditional house used as an accommodation. Single building with garden on the side, the place is a bit small but very cozy and homey. The guesthouse is located in the northeast part of Bukchon, making it look like less convenient for transportation at first glance, but with the town bus, it is quite convenient to get to the subway station, only about 5 minutes. The neighborhood is very quiet and pleasant, since Changdeokgung is just beside with a number of cafes and galleries. The town is a bit isolated and less visitors come take a look around compared to other parts of Bukchon, Samcheong-dong and Gahoe-dong. Surrounded by trees and mountain, Irang guesthouse provides a quite time in busy center of the city.

Gaonjae is located up in the hills with a clear view of Bukchon. The name Gaonjae means ‘The center of Bukchon. The guesthouse is also conveniently located and close to Anguk subway station. Situated in the historic Bukchon neighborhood in Seoul, Korea, Manaedang takes its name after the respected Buddhist monk, writer and Korean independence movement activist Manae Han Yongwoon, who occupied this house during the Japanese colonial period. Here, Manae founded the Buddhist magazine, “Yusim.” In recognition of this historic fact, the Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea registered this place as a Modern Cultural Heritage Site in 2003.
